Mother's Day 2013

H’s gift to me this year showed a creative spirit. I am so happy with this piece of art. H’s Montessori teacher is fantastic in having allowed the children to express their handprint (which (literally) stamps the piece with a date/time to remember) in whatever creative format they chose. I much prefer this to a Handprint –fill in the blank here, where I might not be able to tell which one was H’s. This one is instantly recognizable as H’s, which makes it all the more wonderful. And to me that defines it as art as opposed to craft. Happy Mother’s Day!
